Under $100 with 4 extra batteries and charger.
I’ve only managed to play with it inside so far due to the rain but damn it’s fast and easy to control.
My only disappointment is that the cat is not afraid of it, so no chasing it through the house with ‘Ride of the Valkyries’ playing in the background.

I find it funny that my freedoms in Australia are better than the US in regards to this.
Besides that, it’s under the weight limit.

Too many people doing stupid shit with them.
This idea over the internet that the US isn’t the “Land of the Free” anymore because we have laws about certain things that others might not is insane.
Recently there was a news story about a guy having to shoot one out of the air with his shotgun because the neighbor kept hovering over his teenage daughters in bathings suits who were hanging out by the pool.
There’s people buzzing airports and helicopters with them.
The world unfortunately needs laws to control the stupid.
(sorry that turned into a bit of a rant)

The FAA registration is absurd and oversteps any line the FAA should be allowed to cross. I have been in the RC hobby for years now and I refuse to register.

I don’t know nearly enough about the details of what their requiring. My stand above is the fact that people all over the internet talk about how the US isn’t free anymore because we have some laws that they might not have. Same laws don’t work everywhere in the world because people are different.

Be careful with that one, the transmitter range is very short. We had one land in my in-laws back yard while we were visiting. It didn’t belong to any of the close neighbors, so I think the owner flew it out of range, it entered auto-descend mode, and the high winds blew it a long way from home. We never found the owner, so we decided to give it a new home.

That's about right. I'm not sure how much of a boost it can get with a low-power transmitter. You may be able to substitute another higher-power transmitter, but I haven't looked into it yet. My first inclination is to buy a direct replacement, but I may see if ours will bind with my Futaba transmitter first.
